Trail Ledger is a plain record of day hikes around Portland: the Columbia River Gorge, Mount Hood, and the northern Oregon coast. I started it in 2023 because most trail descriptions online were either years out of date or written to sell gear.

Every report notes the date, distance and elevation I measured, plus anything that would have been useful to know before setting out. Photos are kept small so pages load quickly on a phone at the trailhead.

I am not a guide and nothing here is professional advice. Weather in the Gorge turns quickly — carry the ten essentials and tell someone where you are going.
